Workers of a Brazilian corporation have been accused of participating in a cryptocurrency fraud. They were videotaped at night while preparing to remove evidence. Livecoins, a Brazilian media site, released a video of “at least two persons” breaking into Braiscompany. The cops closed the offices as part of an investigation.
The footage, captured by CCTV cameras, shows a guy dismantling a barrier, allowing the driver of a vehicle to access the Braiscompany headquarters in Sao Paulo. According to video evidence, the suspects entered the premises at 9 p.m. on March 26. The persons then started to “take things” from the premises, according to the media, adding that the offices had been emptied.
The Video Evidence Implies that the Intruders were Braiscompany Employees
The individuals’ obvious familiarity with the site, according to the report, would imply that they were employees. The operations of Braiscompany have spread countrywide in Brazil, with operators guaranteeing investors “fixed income” in the “cryptocurrency market.”
According to the publication, Antônio and Fabrcia Ais were the masterminds behind it. By the end of 2022, a number of investors began to complain that they were unable to withdraw cash from the platform. Numerous “brokers” have supported Braiscompany, claiming that rumours of it being a fraud were untrue.
Opponents claim the firm is a cover for a “financial pyramid.” It should be mentioned that clients have filed a number of legal cases in order to retrieve their monies. According to the site, the Braiscompany corporation “continued to vacate the properties it was utilizing.”
According to Livecoins, the Federal Police Department “placed the property under seal,” but “everything implies it is currently empty.” The firm was founded in 2019 and claimed to be based on the “rental” of crypto-assets, with “members” receiving regular monthly payments.
Braiscompany Already had Shady Motives
Nevertheless, warning signals began to emerge when itwas tangentially embroiled in a fraud inquiry in 2020. Further major issues are said to have arisen in November 2022, when Braiscompany “began withholding client withdrawals for the first time.”
Withdrawal concerns became more serious in December.None of the Braiscompany’s clients has been able to collect their set monthly payments as of January 2023.In February, police initiated a comprehensive investigation against the corporation, but its “important leaders” remain at large. Police arrested an alleged bitcoin sex extortion ring earlier this month.
