The WAP token, named after Cardi B’s hit song of the same name, was launched on Monday along with an official website and its own X account. Despite suspicions of account hacking, the post promoting WAP remains on Cardi B’s official account.
The rapper’s label, Atlantic Records, has yet to respond to The Block’s request for clarification on whether Cardi B officially endorsed WAP.
Security Concerns for Investors
Crypto security experts are urging caution regarding the WAP token and similar promotions, advising users not to interact with suspicious links or addresses. Turkish NY Radio will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
